I get a little bit sentimental at Christmas. I don't know about you. I think it's natural once you're past the I-Can't-Wait-To-See-What-Santa-slash-My-Boyfriend-Got-Me age.
It brings to mind the book "Stranger's Child" by Alan Hollinghurst - a wonderful story about a young British poet who is in love with a school friend and writes a poem about him and his house. The poet is killed in WW1 and the poem becomes famous, but the subject and affair remain hidden. Very sentimental as you say Josh.
Omg, I love it! It’s perfect!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet!
