I hope everyone enjoyed 2022's Advent Calendar. Thank you for reading and commenting and just generally engaging in the fun. And a very special thanks to Meg Perry and Natasha Chesterbrook for their wonderful contributions. They have become part of my holiday tradition. ;-)

I can't say that 2022 was the year I hoped for, nor was this one of the best Christmases (but at least I didn't get Covid!!). The world is pretty much a mess--maybe even more than usual. But I know I tried my best last year and created some stories that have entertained and comforted readers, and really that's all I can ask for.

The beginning of a new year is always an energizing and exciting time for me, and this season is no different. I'm looking forward to 2023. I'm full of plans and ideas. I hope you are too. I hope 2023 will bring you health, happiness, and many wonderful surprises!

  1. As usual, I'm behind and am STILL trying to catch up. I'm saving the Jack and Ellery coda for after the newest Secrets & Scrabble comes out.

  2. It definitely wasn't my best Christmas. But I think that's my own fault. I wasn't really here. I was in my head and memories. A much nicer place to be some days. But I'm looking forward to the new year. Onward and upward. Yeah!

  5. WOW! I am grateful to have been chosen.
I wrote you an email following the link in the post.
    Thank you very much!
I wish you a lot of good things for next year, both personal and professional.
The Art of Murder #5 is about to be released translated in Italy, and we Italian fans are sending you positive thoughts for volume 6 by the end of next year. ;-)

  9. Josh, thank you for this gift, but I bought a copy of the book when it first came out and downloaded the ebook from patron. Perhaps another lucky reader would enjoy a copy? It seems a little greedy to have a copy on my computer and tablet, but I do have several duplicates of your books on nook and kindle.

    1. Awww. That's so generous of you! I'm just going to add another winner rather than take away your copy. ;-)

  10. I can't believe we're two days away from the new year! I feel like I blinked and the year passed by. I'd love to say I ezcaped the big C, but sadly one day before I was scheduled for a booster, I tested positive. It was not a fun October, but I think it could have been worse. Just happy the rest of the year went fairly well.
Thanks again for the Advent calendar and all the wonderful stories.
