The Haunted Heart Playlist

Welllll, it looks like tomorrow just might be the day.

The revised edition of The Haunted Heart: Winter is complete and ready to be uploaded. The final version is nearly 10,000 words longer than the original. It's still pretty much the same story, only better (I hope) than the version you read for free on Wattpad.

In honor of that new release, I'm sharing the official Haunted Heart Playlist. Well, it's not official official until I can get onto iTunes and make it official with a link and everything, but these are the songs anyway. (And thank you to the Goodreads gang for helping me come up with them!)

Somewhere in Between - Lifehouse
Is It Any Wonder - Keane
Dear Friend - Laura Browne Sorenson
Home - Phillip Phillips
Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park
Creole Love Call - Duke Ellington
Believe - K's Choice
First Time - Lifehouse
Black Velvet - Alannah Myles
I Will Wait for You - Mumford & Sons
So the Wind Won't Blow it All Away - John Mills

  4. I'm very much looking forward to reading the final version (although I shall only read it during daylight!) I'm amazed and delighted that it's out so soon, especially as you have had a vacation in between.

    1. That vacation was very useful! I actually had a chance to visit Chester and Essex and some other places. :-)

  5. Had to buy this the minute I read your blog and saw from the cover picture that it was available. Also read it immediately--through a thunderstorm, which seemed appropriate somehow. Oh, and thanks very much for the cameo appearance by Stephen and Mark! Looking forward to the next installment.

    1. I don't know why I'm so delighted when readers catch that cameo. :-D

    2. Well, Stephen and Mark are one of my fave couples. I can't tell you how many times I've re-read their stories. Always glad to see them again!

    3. Oh, so that's who they were! I thought they seemed familiar...

    4. ;-D

And Kirk hails from Smithfield, where my pal LB Gregg sets her New England series.

    5. Ha! I wondered about this. I have Smithfield audio books on constant repeat for my drives home. :) Does Kirk have any connections to the "Men of Smithfield"?

I've made a youtube playlist. Only couldn't find the last one. Will have to look for it again. :)

    6. It was just a tip of the hat to my dear pal, LB. :-) Plus, I was THERE. I was there in the town that doubles for Smithfield, and it's a great place to be from.

Oh, that playlist has become a source of frustration. I'm going to try and do it through Pandora. I have come to hate iTunes with a passion.

      A PASSION, I tell you!

  6. So glad you released the final version, I didn't read it all on Wattpad (didn't want to spoil anything) and bought it today on Smashwords...as usual this will be my weekend treat to myself! Love the playlist too! Thanks!

  9. It's late and I'm reading Haunted and getting chills and looking over my shoulder for apparitions. That mirror is one of the scariest things I've encountered since I read In Cold Blood in a basement room and was too afraid to turn out the lights or go to sleep. Love Flynn and Kirk and hope they reappear in the other novellas. Thanks for a great read!

    1. Thank you very much! I take that as quite a compliment.

Flynn and Kirk will return, yes. And we'll try to keep the spook factor high.

  10. :-( my girlfriends called me on this and can't believe it but I have been giving everyone the incorrect title of your book " house " instead of "heart" - it still comes up, they find it but what kind of fan screws up a title; a fan with to little sleep:-). Since I am out here reading the top 5 things we love (love the responses) thought I would confess.

  11. Just bought the book today, and I read it all in one go. I loved it, and I can't wait for the next book in the series! (Seriously -- are you working on it? When will I get my hands on it?)

To be honest, I love all your books, but this one definitely is in the running for my favorite.

    1. Thank you. It was unexpectedly easy and relaxing to write. Maybe because it was such an impulse, just for fun, almost an experiment.
