Congratulations to Adrian Bisson!
Adrian -- also known as #5 in the first go-round and #1 in the second round -- was the two-time hands down winner in our quest to find the narrator of Armed and Dangerous. I'm delighted to announce he's graciously accepted the offer to produce and narrate the collection of Dangerous Ground novellas.
Thank you again to all our talented competitors. And more thanks to all of you readers who took the time (and so much care) to vote. You made my job a lot easier!
Well, he wasn't my first pick, but that being said, I would listen to anyone read Will and Taylor to me! Thanks Josh, for letting us have input and letting us have fun with it. You rock!
ReplyDeleteYou're a good sport, M!
DeleteThis is too funny. I picked #5 as my first choice in the first go-round and #1 in the final round, but thought #1 wasn't the old #5. Thought I had changed my mind in the final round on who I wanted the narrator to be. Guess I always did like Adrian 'with an A' the best after all and just didn't realize it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Josh, for giving us a chance to make this choice for you. Now we just have to count the days until the audiobook is released.
I saw that, Linda! :-D
DeleteLinda?
DeleteWho the hell is Linda!?
Delete:-D :-D :-D
That was weird.
Adrian - bwah! Happy to hear he's give the project the green light. It was really great to be able to vote - thanks again for that Josh. :-) Love the audio on all the others and am really looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteI have to say it made the whole process a lot of fun.
Deletew00t!! :D
ReplyDeleteJust what I said!
DeleteYay! My pick won. Cant wait to hear the audiobooks. Thanks for involving us xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a good one! I feel sure of that.
DeleteMy favourite from the beginning! He has a great voice and I liked his narration. I'm glad. :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of listeners commented on how animated and energetic his reading was -- which I agree with.
DeleteYay! I picked him both times. :D I just liked how he gave the characters personality. He set a nice pace and his voice was great. Thanks for letting us know. :D

DeleteHe did! He did a nice job -- especially given how brief the audition script was. That's gotta be a challenge for narrators.
DeleteWhat fun! Adrian was my #1 choice each round. Really looking forward to A&D audiobooks!
ReplyDeleteI am too! I think this is going to a be a fun production.
DeleteYay! Thanks for letting us have the input. I'm sure he'll do a great job and this will be as enjoyable to listen to as the Adrien English series is.
ReplyDeleteI do hope so!
DeleteThanks for taking part in the voting!
Adding my Yay!!! I picked him both times. What a great voice - I can't wait to listen. Thanks, Josh, for letting us be part of such an important decision.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy so many readers chimed in. It gives me confidence knowing how much readers enjoyed all the narrators.
DeleteYay from me as well! He was also my first pick both times. Great voice!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I can't wait to hear the final product.
DeleteOne of my top two choices. Excellent! I can hardly wait!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad!
DeleteLooking forward to the recording.
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting the Fanyons involved.
Cheers, Kelly
Thanks for being involved!
DeleteYay. He's my first choice in the first round. I think I've found Taylor's voice :-)
ReplyDeleteI think so! :-)
DeleteThanks to Josh Lanyon for making such a great book and for the great idea of the contest! I thought all the other narrators were great and I feel very honored to have been selected. I'll do my best to make the audiobook worthy of the text!
ReplyDeleteYou can see we have perfect confidence in you. :-)
DeleteYes! Looking forward to the audiobooks! :)
DeleteKC
Yay! *\o/*
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteHe was my pick in each of the voting rounds as well. I think the only thing funnier than his name being Adrian with an a would have been if his name had been David Bradley. If you let us play this game again, can you have them not read the menu for dinner? After listening to all those voices talk about food I had to go find a snack.
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I HAVE to find a narrator named David Bradley!
DeleteJust keep him away from Will!!
DeleteOh, but I love his Will. ;-P
DeleteHe was my pick as well and I will buy the audio's just to hear his voice. The nuances? Awesome.
ReplyDelete:-D I can see that finding the perfect narrators would make my job a lot easier.
DeleteYippee! He was the only one I voted for in round one. I agree with Hannah - his nuances are just right. He persuaded me in the first couple of sentences that he was the one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing us to have a say in the choice of narrator. Having the right one makes all the difference - but you've done brilliantly in choosing them for the other books, too.
I'm pleased with the way it turned out -- with the fact that the guys were all such good sports and that readers were so engaged.
DeleteI also picked him both times (I'm sure you're tired of hearing that). I felt the richness and life he brought to the characters was spot on. I am waiting patiently for all of the audiobooks (okay, that might be a lie... patience... it's highly overrated). I enjoy them so much!!!! Second only to reading them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing us to be a part of the process. It was fun and exciting.
Confirmation is never a bad thing. :-) This is an expensive book to commission, so I did feel the pressure to get the right voice for the job.
DeleteThat's great! Bachelor 1 was my fav! The two others in round 2 were good too, but Bach1's narration was even better, very lively. Hope the rest of the book will be the same.
ReplyDeleteWell I just heard the first 15 minutes and it was very promising! I can't wait to hear the finished product.
