As some of you remember, Jason West was highly amused to learn that Sam Kennedy's taste in music ran to Windham Hill (also favored by Jason's parents). So I was listening to some possible pieces that might qualify as a favorite of Sam's, and I came up with Brian Dunning's "December Rain."
I picture Sam alone in his apartment, sitting on the sofa head back, eyes closed, listening to the rain on the roof, the music on his stereo as he thinks over the day--and looks forward to the night.
Thank you! This was great. I'm not really familiar with Windham Hill but I will definitely listen to more. Is this how you picture Sam? Gorgeous lol, thanks for that too.
ReplyDeleteThey've got a lot of lovely, soothing stuff. Sam... It's the right vibe for Sam. I've never found an image that actually looks exactly as I picture Sam.
DeleteI can see Sam enjoying that and Jason turning it off as soon as he comes in the room. lol
ReplyDeleteLOL. Jason: "What the hell. Did someone die? Oh. Sorry. Forgot what you do for a living."
Delete:D
DeleteToo funny! I can totally see that.
DeleteI can't decide if this is kinda dark or kinda soothing or kinda both at the same time. Maybe small doses....
ReplyDeleteNot familiar with Windham Hill. Must investigate.
There are definitely dark, moody undertones. Perfect for Sam.
Deletesadly the video doesn't work in Germany, and I can't find a free version, so I'm still curious about Sam's taste in music
ReplyDelete"December Rain" is an instrumental track on a Windham Hill (indie label bought out by BMG which was then bought out by Sony) compilation album titled Celtic Moods. In one of the books Jason jokes about Sam's taste in music (George Winston, etc. ) being similar to that of his parents.
DeleteI am so far behind, but I love this music, and that looks exactly as I pictured Sam would look..and I have no idea if that is bad or good, lol
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know of Windham Hill but I always sign up for Celtic music (Clannad forever!) It's so beautiful, soothing, and still emotional. All the beauty of Celtic music. Thank oyu for sharing this and maybe help us to understand Sam better :D
