Happy Labor Day!

Did you know that Labor Day does indeed celebrate each and every one of our contributions to the work force?

From Wikipedia:

Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It is a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country.

I will be on my way out of town by the time you're reading this post. I wish each and every one of many restful hours after your labor-- wherever you live and whatever you labor at.

Here in California, we're reaching the end of summer. I hope yours was filled with many happy moments -- moments that will bring good memories this winter.

  4. On an older post, you gave away some audible gift codes which was great. I already own every single one of your books on Kindle but I wanted to let you know that I liked them so much on audio that I bought a couple more on audio on my own. I'm really enjoying the Holmes series on audio. The narrator is great! I liked that series in the written form but love it in audio.

  7. Hopefully it is a vacationlike trip out of town, with lots of fun, the best company and recreative for you Josh!
The last weeks here were not so summerlike, very rainy and to cold, so I have the impression of a very short summer. Add this impression to an unholy amount of work, you can perhaps understand, that I'm a little bit depressed. I know , that's sounds whiny, but I need the light and the warmth to feel good and to be prepared for the darkness and cold of the winter. I hope of a beautiful autumn, golden and please warm! And there will be two books, they will help me through the winter!

  10. Hope your long weekend was enjoyable!

Our summer was so rainy (well, rainy for the high desert) that I haven't felt the seasonal changes as much this year. A lot of September is very summery here, just with a bite in the air at night. Still sleeping windows open now and that's nice.

We did a 7-hour there and 7-hour back road trip over the three day weekend, but that felt really relaxing compared to work.
