Available Now -- The Parting Glass

Now available on Amazon, All Romance Ebooks, Smashwords and -- woohoo! -- Barnes and Noble.

Two and a half years ago, travel writer Timothy McShay let NYPD Detective Luke O'Brien talk him into hiking into the New Jersey Pine Barrens to face down a monster.

Now Tim and Luke meet again under very different circumstances. The old attraction is still there -- but so are some of Tim's monsters. Is it too late to find their way back to each other?

Just an angsty little cocktail with a dash of bitters and a splash of sweet. I hope you enjoy it.

  2. it's perfect - a lot in a small package, but it couldn't be better. you do let the reader hang on until the end, but that's the way a master handles it. you don't let us down, Josh Lanyon, no matter what the length. thanks for this one.

    1. I just re-read my comment and realized that "a really good story" sounds a little lame...the story had such emotional depth and I was very, very touched. Thank you, Josh.

    2. Not at all. The "wiping tears away" is very telling, I think.

It's interesting to me how many people describe a visceral reaction to this particular story.

  6. I downloaded hot off the press but as weird as this may sound I delayed reading because I knew their story would end...and as with most of your stories I want them to go on forever:-) I re-read In a Dark Wood last night and went on to complete the journey tonight - just finished and I love it...I can't stop smiling because I'm so happy for Tim and Luke. I like the way you handled the two year look-back and wove it into the present day. Thank you Josh.

  8. Right, I nearly missed this...about to rush off and buy it Since I know I shall swallow it in one improvident gulp I shall try to save it for the weekend. Not sure I'll succeed but the idea of curling up on Saturday morning with it under a cosy duvet with crisp clean cover and sheets, a cup of Lady Grey tea and Radio 3 in the background...heaven.
