Christmas Codas

So. I was thinking last week about various things -- the fact that I usually do something nice for readers this time of year, the fact that I need to do some promo, and the fact that I really really REALLY need to start writing again -- and an idea occurred to me that sort of kills two -- three -- birds with one ink bottle.

Christmas codas.

I've come up with the idea of doing little codas -- maybe just a few sentences or maybe a whole scene (depending on my mood) for my various stories. The codas will be set on or close to Christmas. Maybe they'll pick up where the story ended or maybe they'll pick up a few Christmases into the future. We shall see.

I'll do one every few days starting Monday, December 3rd and they'll run through the end of the month. I'll post them here on this blog. There's nothing to buy and nothing required of you -- it's a writing exercise for me, so some of these could be pretty rough. Hopefully it's fun for both of us.

And perhaps there will be a few fun surprises along the way, but basically that's my plan for this blog in December.

Happy Holidays!

  14. Yayness!!! What a lovely gift. I read this on my phone in the middle of the outdoor Christmas decor section of my local nursery, complete with the smell of fresh pine and cedar surrounding me - Yes, I stop almost everything and look when a Josh message appears ;-) - I think I really am in the Christmas spirit now. Hmmm, would love to visit Valentine and Aleister, whatever their equivalent of Christmas might be!

  25. Well, Josh, since it seems you're taking requests, I'd like to put in my bid for something from the 'I Spy' guys, Mark and Stephen, my favorites after Adrien and Jake. But whatever you create along the way I'm sure it will be delightful. And a great accompaniment to the London Advent Calendar that is currently on my Desktop. :)
