I love a good Lanyon quote, and this is a very good one. "It's not a perfect world." "No. And it doesn't have to be, because a lot of things work out fine anyway."
It is very nutty, but emotional -- which is always what I'm after with Christmas stories. There's just something funny and crazy about the season, but also deeply emotional.
This is lovely, Catherine. And I'm so looking forward to re-listen A Case of Christmas during the Holidays. That, AND The Dickens with Love. AND Baby, it's Cold. AND all the Christmas Codas AND...well, you got the picture. :-D
This was such a cute, quirky story with some lovely, touching moments especially this quote. :) I don't know why, but Linus's name always made me giggle too. I think I was expecting something more "masculine" and just kept picturing Linus from Peanuts instead. lol Will definitely be re-reading/listening to this one before Christmas.
I loved this one. So short but so deeply moving.... I've got to re-read it right now (*off to grab my kindle*)

ReplyDeleteAmen.
Lovely graphics, for a lovely quote. :)
:-) Thank you!
DeleteI love the story! It's like a screwball comedy with enough normal, serious undertones, that it sounds true and resonate with me.

DeleteCatherine is SO talented. And I love that she chose this particular story and that particular symbol.
