  1. I’ll take my name out of the draw, because I have won other contests before, but It is truly a beautiful design! Kudos to Yooichi Kadono! And here is my quote, just because I love it…from The Movie-Town Murders: “ “Wow, it’s nice coming home to you.” He tried—hoped—he sounded cheerful. Sam raised his hands to Jason’s face, studying him. Sam’s expression was so grave, so intent, Jason’s smile grew uncertain. He was expecting, waiting for Sam’s kiss, for that hunger and heat to claim him, but instead Sam continued to cup his face. “Your hair,” he said softly. “Camouflage.” Sam breathed a half laugh, murmured, “You can’t hide from me, West,” before leaning in to touch Jason’s mouth with the gentlest of nuzzles.”

    1. Ha! I haven't taken a look at that book since I wrote it, so I was reading it as if I was new to the series! LOL

  2. Beautiful design! Such a tender moment!

So many favorite scenes and lines, but I think this one wins for me because I love when they get fully open and honest with how they feel, Sam especially!

So: "“I realized you were right. Regardless of how I feel about some of your decisions, some of your actions, it doesn’t change how I feel about you. I couldn’t risk you thinking it did. I don’t want—can’t—go back to how it was before you.”

  4. I couldn't resist the lure of the blanket and that simply stunning art that really captures the mood of the series. The blue that is so Kennedy and the greyish tones that in my eyes, reflect their relationship.

I do have a number of lovely quotes and scenes I always go back to, though I admit, most of them are the painful, heart-wrenching variety, which always make the characters all the more real and make me as a reader invested in their happiness.

so here's one of my favourites from Monuments Men Murders:

Emotion squeezed Jason’s heart so hard, he thought it would simply stop beating.

He said—and his voice shook, but he forced himself to talk past it, “I love you, and I think you do love me. As much as you’re capable. But there’s something…cold about you. That you can turn this off and on at will. I’m not saying I’m great at relationships either, but I do know you don’t get to take breaks from loving someone. And the fact that you do, that you can just…turn me off. Shut me out. That it always has to be your rules or nothing. I can’t do it anymore.” He let out a long, shuddery breath. “Even if I wanted to. I can’t. I just can’t take it.”

As an avid reader of your works, thank you for the pleasure and acute emotional pain. ;)

  5. This art is gooooorgeous.

Gosh, I love the Art of Murder series. I'm still a sucker for that line near the end of book 1, when Jason tells Sam, "I've heard every word you've said to me since the day we met." Still makes me smile like a goof.

  6. The blanket is beautiful ! I love the image, the two of them are so peaceful ! It was super difficult to choose between all the quotes but I have settled on this one :

« Kennedy’s mouth twisted in reluctant amusement. “Did you really tell O’Neill you wouldn’t break out of that crypt because the window was so valuable?”
Jason sat up. “Hell, yes. That window is Tiffany glass. It’s probably worth a quarter of a million dollars. It’s irreplaceable.”
Kennedy shook his head as though he thought Jason was a nut, but what he said was, “You’re irreplaceable. »

I love how Jason is passionate about art (and losing all pragmatism when it comes to it) and Sam’s declaration, unexpected but so direct !
