Happy Easter!

Yes, it's a bit early -- and not everyone celebrates Easter -- but it's a holiday I enjoy. It's not one of the big dates in the family pantheon of holidays, but in a way that's what makes it relaxing. We'll have the traditional ham dinner (I'm bringing a giant green salad with sprouts and nuts and seeds -- a meal in itself) and we'll have a few drinks and there will be a lot of talking and laughing.

What are you celebrating this weekend? Passover? Spring? A long weekend? A lost weekend?

  2. Happy Good Friday! Hopefully we are closing early today. Brad will be down this evening and leave Sunday morning and I will be having Easter dinner with my sister and her family on Sunday. After her recent health scare it will be a nice time together with the family. Easter is a holiday I really enjoy because it's one I get to spend with the family.

    1. Steve, that's the way to spend holidays -- with the people you love.

  3. I've celebrated both Easter and Passover in past years. This year, just a nice quiet dinner and enjoying new green poking up from the earth. Speaking of new green...I think I enjoy the smells of Easter/Spring/Passover, as much as the smell of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is warm and spicy, but this holiday smells of all things new. :)
Hope you have a wonderful, and restful, holiday weekend, Josh.

  9. I'm not a Christian, so Easter is just another excuse to eat jelly beans and chocolate.
