Six Books for Six Bucks

For this weekend only, I'm dropping the price of six of my novellas to .99 cents. That's six books for six bucks.

I've tried to get a nice assortment of stories in here: fantasy, historical, and of course mystery and romance.

The selected titles are:

A Vintage Affair
Blood Red Butterfly
The Dark Horse
The Darkling Thrush
Cards on the Table
Out of the Blue

You can purchase them at that reduced price through Smashwords, All Romance Ebooks, and Amazon Kindle. Unfortunately the turn around time at B&N is too slow -- by the time they'd have the new prices approved and posted, the sale would be over! -- but you can buy epub format through Smashwords or All Romance Ebooks.

This sale will end sometime Sunday, so do not linger or tarry. Hie yourself over to your favorite bookseller and start clicking. And if you already have the books, you can always gift them to someone else, right?

Have a terrific weekend!

  7. Thanks for this great sale Josh. I have them all already but I gifted them all on All Romance for a good friend who I know will love them too. It's a great opportunity for him to see what I've been touting.

  9. My immediate reaction was that I already have all these. But when I checked, some I only have in print so I have just bought those three for my Kindle. Thank you so much, Josh, and have a lovely weekend.

  11. I'd curse you for making me break my resolution to not buy any new books until I finish the ones I have - if I hadn't already broken that several days ago! :D

  12. Was I supposed to feel guilty for buying myself presents (in the form of the books I didn't have) when I haven't finished my Father's Day shopping yet?

    Cuz I didn't. ;-)

Oh, I'm giddy with happy reading ahead. But my vow of pacing myself just got blown to hell.

    2. I thought to myself, "Self. Just because you bought four more of Josh's books doesn't mean you have to READ them all at once. You can sit on them, and save them and spread them out."

And just who am I trying to kid here? Unread Josh Lanyon books is like trying to ignore chocolate. With that yummy sea salt on the top. I should get some to eat while I read the books. That's kinda brilliant, actually...

    3. That IS brilliant thinking. I particularly love those caramels dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. DEEEE-lightful!

  13. Thank you! I had one of them (Blood Red Butterfly), but not the others.

  14. This is great! Thank you Josh! :)
A friend of mine is lacking these books..., and since i've been talking to her about them, now she'll get four of them as a surprise, and i think she'll enjoy The Darkling Thrush and Blood Red Butterfly in particular. Also made me want to re-read everything!
    Have a lovely weekend!

  15. There is actually one on the list that I have not yet read! What's wrong with me? LOL I am not the one to miss your books. Going to ARe to grab the Butterfly.

Thank you so much for giving them away (at that price they are a real steal!) You're one of my most favorite authors =)

  19. Thanks, Im headed over to ARE to pick up a few of these. While Im there, what are the petit morts about?, are they random shorts or part of a series with other authors?

    1. Here's the intro from In Sunshine or In Shadow:

In July of 2009, Jordan Castillo Price proposed an idea for a shared world series. The Petit Morts would be themed novelettes, ten to twelve thousand words in length, each story a standalone and complete in itself. The framing element would be “a Tim Burton-esque chocolate shop” originally named Bittersweet (later Sweets to the Sweet) which would appear in various cities, even various times, and act as a catalyst for the unfolding and often strange romances. The mysterious store owner, a character straight from mythology but playing a different role from his usual one, would be known to readers as Chance. His true identity would not be revealed until the final story.

The concept was all Jordan’s, and it fell to Jordan to write Chance’s overarching tale — including his own mysterious “love” story. My five were written to be read within or without context, and now that the Petit Mort series has concluded, I’ve decided to share them in this collection. You don’t need to read the entire the Petit Mort series to enjoy the stories, but the series is wonderful and, if you haven’t read all seventeen installments, I urge you to do so!

    1. It made sense to me too! I don't believe in throwing my work away. I'm not a hobby writer, so when I do a sale it's for real and it's for rare. :-)

    2. As well you shouldnt'...you work hard and should be rewarded and not expected to give everything away.

Now, when is the next sale? bwahahahaha I couldn't resist.

  24. Helped myself to your wonderful offer, Josh.

As a "newbie" to you clutch of fans, this is a big plus for my summer reading stash.

    Again, thanks a bunch!

  25. I don't remember how I stumbled across your books the first time, but I absolutely love them. Your writing is so engaging, when I pick up my kindle to start a book you've written, I don't put it down until I've read the last paragraph. It's your fault that I'm getting nothing done around the house this weekend. :)

Thank you so much for this generous offer - I bought them all. Michelle
